The Fasano Group’s first international venture is the Hotel Fasano Punta del Este, in Uruguay. Located in a breathtaking setting in the La Barra district, at one of the country’s highest points. The hotel offers a private riverside beach and one of the most beautiful sunset views the Uruguayan coast has to offer.
Isay Weinfeld’s design project highlights the rustic elegance of the Uruguayan countryside in thirty two bungalows, each with a private terrace offering panoramic views of the property, and all the comforts of the signature Fasano service. The first Fasano restaurant outside of Brazil is also located here, built on a rocky hill offering spectacular views of the property to complement the family’s sophisticated culinary offerings.
Location and Transfers
Situated five miles from La Barra, a town known as a South American hotspot for international high society, with a dazzling nightlife and a wide range of bars and restaurants.
The hotel is 30 minutes from Punta Del Este International Airport and 90 minutes from Montevideo International Airport by car.

Strategically designed to provide uninterrupted panoramic views of the landscape, the 20 bungalows and 12 bungalow suites offer large private terraces and all the amenities and technology to provide maximum comfort and privacy for guests. Rooms feature King size beds with 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets, white goose-down pillows and a full bar, among other amenities.

Las Piedras – the informal ambience of Las Piedras restaurant is Rogério Fasano’s interpretation of an authentic Italian trattoria. Combined with the rustic charm of Punta del Este, the space is perfect for informal meals. French doors open to the internal garden surrounded by trees. A collection of rare books composed of first and limited editions line the walls. On Sundays, in addition to the a la carte menu, a salad and antipasto buffet is offered at lunchtime.
